The 4ᵗʰ IACP Academic Writing Workshop for Junior Urban Scholars

This workshop is open to young scholars focusing on urban planning and governance in China. We plan to recruit 30 participants.

We welcome applications from current doctoral students, assistant professors or associate professors without tenure, and postdoctoral researchers in departments or institutes of urban planning, urban geography, public policy (with a focus on urban affairs), or related fields.

We will give priority to young urban scholars who meet the following criteria:

Currently working or studying at a university or research institution in Asia*;

Having obtained a doctoral degree within the past five years (2021-2026), and

Being a valid member of the International Association of Urban Planning (IACP) before the symposium's application deadline.

*We also encourage young Chinese scholars whose research focuses on urban issues in China and who are currently working outside of Asia to apply. Final admission will depend on the number of applications received and the available places.
