We are pleased to invite applications for the Paper Development Workshop (PDW) as part of the New Connections in International Business Conference, to be held at Zhejiang University (ZJU) in Hangzhou from May 8-10, 2026.
This PDW is designed to support doctoral students and early career researchers working in the field of international business. The workshop aims to provide constructive, developmental feedback on ongoing research projects, while also helping participants engage with and become part of the broader international business research community.
Workshop Format
The PDW will follow a small-group format to ensure in-depth and personalized feedback. A maximum of 24 papers will be selected. Authors of accepted submissions will be assigned a faculty discussant and will have approximately 20 minutes to present their work and receive detailed feedback.
Faculty Discussants include leading scholars in the field:
- Peter Buckley (Manchester Alliance Business School)
- Torben Pedersen (Copenhagen Business School)
- Xufei Ma (CUHK Business School)
- Changqi Wu (Guanghua School of Management)

Submission Guidelines
- Submit an extended abstract (maximum 5 pages, excluding table, figures, and references)
- Single-spaced, 11-point font
- Only one submission per applicant
- Papers already accepted into the main conference are also eligible
- Format: PDF (include name, university, and email on the first page)
